We are pastry chef Albane (whip) and food photographer Evi (click). We've combined our pastry and photo skills and founded Whip+Click, a blog where we serve you seasonal treats with easy to follow recipes, delicious photos and videos, and news from the food world. Sign up here and once a month we'll send you the best of our finds in an email. About Albane:
Albane Sharrard is a pastry chef and graduate of the French Culinary Institute who has worked for Dominique Ansel (Restaurant Daniel), the Alain Ducasse team (Benoit Restaurant), Jacques Torres Chocolates and Bread Alone. She founded Crosstown Sweets shortly after moving to the Hudson Valley in the spring of 2011. The local farms and markets reminded her of the summers she spent visiting her grandparents' home in the south of France. She was inspired to create jams in the tradition of her grandmother's best recipes using fruit from local Hudson Valley farms. She has recently relocated to New York City and will also be expanding the Crosstown Sweets line to include specialty baked goods. About Evi:
Evi Abeler is a New York City-based still life and food photographer with a background in graphic design and a gift for capturing the simple beauty inherent in any subject. Most recently she has worked with Anthology Magazine, FoodNetwork, Food+Wine, Lotta Jansdotter and Sweet Paul Magazine. Originally from Dalsper, Germany, Evi has joyously adopted New York City as her second home. When she’s not behind the camera, she can be found visiting museums, browsing at a book store, or exploring the scenic north woods of Central Park.
