Albane Sharrard is a pastry chef and graduate of the French Culinary Institute who has worked for Dominique Ansel (Restaurant Daniel), the Alain Ducasse team (Benoit Restaurant), Jacques Torres Chocolates and Bread Alone. She founded Crosstown Sweets shortly after moving to the Hudson Valley in the spring of 2011. The local farms and markets reminded her of the summers she spent visiting her grandparents' home in the south of France. She was inspired to create jams in the tradition of her grandmother's best recipes using fruit from local Hudson Valley farms. She has recently relocated to New York City and will also be expanding the Crosstown Sweets line to include specialty baked goods. Find out where you can find her line of jams at www.crosstownsweets.com and follow her on Facebook.
