Breakfast is important around here and we keep it interesting throughout the week by having a variety of options to pick from. Granola is great to have around and so easy to make on your own!
For the recipe:
- 250 grams of vegetable oil
- 250 grams honey
- 100 grams of raw sugar
- vanilla to taste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 250 grams of water
- 800 grams of oats
- 125 grams of mixed nuts (almonds and walnuts)
- 4 tablespoons flax seed
- raisins to taste
Set oven to 325 F
Place oil, honey, raw sugar, vanilla, salt, and water into a pot until heated.
Place all dry ingredients (except raisins) into a bowl and combine.
Pour the heated ingredients into the dry and mix.
Divide granola between two oiled sheet pans and bake for 30 minutes, then mix and rotate the sheetpans.
Then mix the granola again and add the raisins. Bake for another 15 minutes.
