Albane founded Crosstown Sweets in Woodstock, NY in 2011. The local farms and markets in the Hudson Valley reminded her of the summers she spent visiting her grandparents' home in the South of France. She was inspired to create jams in the tradition of her grandmother's best recipes using fruit from local farms. The company's aim is to produce high quality artisanal jams made in small batches and using Hudson Valley produce. Crosstown Sweets is dedicated to nurturing the relationship between farms, chefs, and the community to create a quality regional product that reflects the bounty of the Hudson Valley.
What makes the jams special?
- We use only local and seasonal fruits that are grown organically whenever possible, or grown either pesticide free or following the practices of integrated pest management.
- We make all our jams with organic sugar.
- We use less sugar than the traditional jams out there and we don't add pectin, our jams are full of fruit flavor!
