This might be the easiest DIY recipe out there! The only requirement is patience. To jumpstart the process, use a previous vinegar with 'the mother' and you'll get to enjoy it sooner!
For the recipe:
- 1 Liter of apple cider
- 250 grams of cider vinegar (optional)
You'll need a jar to accommodate at least 2 liters of liquid, cheesecloth, a rubber band
Pour the apple cider in a large clean jar. Place the cheesecloth over the mouth of the jar and secure with a rubber band. Let stand at room temperature and in a dark place for at least 6 months.
To reduce the wait time by less than half, add some apple cider vinegar with the mother to jumpstart the vinegar.
