We are holding on to the last days of summer and enjoying sorbet while we can. We've paired peaches with saffron and added some grand marnier to give it a punch.
For the recipe:
- 1000 grams peaches, pureed
- 250 grams of sugar
- 250 ml water
- 50 ml grand marnier
- 4 strands of saffron
Makes 4 servings
Make a simple syrup with sugar and water by bringing them to a boil. See aside to cool.
Whisk together peach puree, grand marnier and saffron.
Then add the simple syrup and whisk together. Cool in the refrigerator.
Pour into ice cream maker and process until the sorbet has the right consistency.
